Stem Cell Therapy is Minimally Invasive with Maximum Results

Stem Cell Therapy of the foot is a surprisingly minimally invasive technique that is used to inject amniotic stem cells straight into the location of the foot where pain is arising. Our podiatrist, John Schilero, DPM, at the Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute, can perform this therapy and has a proven track record of results. Call us at 561-694-7776 EXT. 41 or visit us at our West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida locations to learn more about stem cells and how they can help your feet feel better.

This form of treatment is generally sought by those patients experiencing chronic ankle or foot arthritis or any other severe pain that will not go away from medications or exercise. Stem cell therapy supplements other treatments for arthritis because healing and reduction in pain occurs much faster when it is utilized. This happens because tissues in the foot re-develop while inflammation subsides. Greater mobility is also often returned after a short amount of time. For this therapy to take place, stem cells are withdrawn from bone marrow, then put through a lab procedure and are finally re-injected at the location of the injury on the foot. Ultrasound will be used to make sure that the cells are injected into an exact area of the foot so they can provide the most beneficial results. After the stem cells are injected into a precise location, they speed up the normal repair process of injured and deteriorated tendons, ligaments, and joints that were suffering from severe episodes of arthritis. These cells may be injected again five days after the initial therapy to help continue the healing process.

Stem cell therapy is particularly attractive because of the fact that its basically an injection that can take place in one or two visits. It’s important that you contact our office for an appointment today to determine if this therapy is right for you as you may be able to potentially spare a grueling and unnecessary surgery in favor of a less invasive and faster healing form of treatment.
